Blum 70T3790.TL CLIP top 110° Inset Unsprung INSERTA Hinge

The Blum 70T3790.TL is an unsprung concealed cabinet hinge for inset doors that close within the cabinet opening. Its fully cranked hinge arm provides the geometry required for a correctly planned inset-door installation.

This hinge has no internal closing spring, allowing the door to move freely without being pulled closed. It is particularly suitable for handleless furniture using a compatible, correctly positioned Blum TIP-ON push-to-open device.

The INSERTA hinge cup provides tool-free attachment to a correctly drilled door. The 35mm cup and expanding fixings lock into the prepared drilling pattern without conventional hinge-cup screws.

Blum’s CLIP connection also allows the hinge arm to attach to or release from a compatible cabinet mounting plate without tools.

Supplied as one hinge. The mounting plate, TIP-ON device and cabinet fixings are sold separately.

Inset-door planning

An inset door closes inside the cabinet opening rather than covering the cabinet side panels. The required clearance depends on the door thickness, hinge-cup drilling distance, mounting-plate height and the gap required around the door.

Do not assume every inset installation uses the same mounting plate. Calculate the application using the actual cabinet and door dimensions, and complete a trial installation before drilling multiple doors.

INSERTA installation

The door requires a 35mm hinge-cup bore plus two accurately positioned 8mm fixing holes. Insert the hinge into this prepared pattern and close the INSERTA locking mechanism to secure the expanding fittings inside the door.

What does unsprung mean?

Yes. Its free-swing action makes it suitable for a correctly selected and positioned Blum TIP-ON device.

Can a BLUMOTION damper be added?

BLUMOTION is not recommended for the intended free-swing TIP-ON application because damping can resist the movement required for push-to-open operation.
