The Blum 71B3650 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge combines a half-cranked hinge arm with a traditional screw-on cup fixing. It is designed for dual or half-overlay applications where two cabinet doors are fitted to opposite sides of the same central partition.

The hinge's Onyx Black finish complements dark cabinetry, black cabinet hardware and contemporary furniture interiors. Its coordinated dark appearance is particularly effective where the hinge remains visible while the cabinet door is open.

Where is a half-overlay hinge used?

A half-overlay hinge is normally used where two cabinet doors share the same central cabinet partition. The half-cranked arm positions each door so both can close correctly while covering only part of the shared panel edge.

This hinge should not be confused with the straight-arm 71B3550 overlay hinge or the full-cranked 71B3750 inset hinge. Choosing the correct arm geometry is essential for obtaining the intended door position.

Traditional screw-on fixing

The hinge requires a 35mm cup drilling approximately 13mm deep. Two screw-fixing positions are arranged on 45mm centres, with the fixing-hole line offset 9.5mm from the centre of the hinge-cup drilling.

The screw-on fixing is well suited to replacement work, bespoke cabinetry and workshop installation. Choose fixing screws appropriate for the door material and thickness.
