Blum 71M2690B CLIP 100° Dual Half-Overlay INSERTA Hinge

The Blum 71M2690B is a sprung CLIP concealed hinge for dual or half-overlay cabinet-door applications. This arrangement is commonly used where two doors are hinged from opposite sides of a shared central cabinet panel.

The hinge opens to 100° and contains a closing spring that pulls the door towards the closed position. It does not include integrated BLUMOTION soft-close damping.

Blum’s INSERTA fixing system provides tool-free attachment of the hinge cup to a correctly prepared door. The hinge arm also connects to a compatible mounting plate using the tool-free CLIP mechanism, allowing the door to be removed and rehung without tools.

What is a dual or half-overlay hinge?

A dual hinge is used where two cabinet doors share the same central cabinet partition. Each closed door covers only part of the panel’s front edge, allowing one door to be hinged from either side.

How does INSERTA fixing work?

The INSERTA hinge cup is installed into a correctly prepared drilling pattern without conventional cup-fixing screws. The INSERTA mechanism secures the hinge cup to the door and can be released when required.

INSERTA applies to the hinge-cup fixing only. A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate must still be fixed separately to the cabinet.

Optional soft-close
