Blum 75T1680 CLIP Top 107° Half-Overlay Knock-In Hinge

The Blum 75T1680 is a sprung CLIP top concealed hinge for dual or half-overlay cabinet doors, where two doors share the same central cabinet partition. Its 107° opening angle, shallow 11.5mm cup drilling and knock-in fixing make it suitable for kitchen cabinets, bedroom furniture and fitted cabinetry with door thicknesses from 15–24mm.

Important: this is a sprung, self-closing hinge but it does not contain integrated BLUMOTION soft close. If controlled soft closing is required, select a compatible Blum CLIP top BLUMOTION half-overlay hinge.

Dual and half-overlay application

The 9.5mm cranked hinge arm positions two cabinet doors on opposite sides of a shared centre panel. This arrangement is also described as a dual or half-overlay application.

The final door overlay and gap depend on the selected mounting-plate height, drilling distance and cabinet construction. A trial installation is recommended before drilling multiple doors.

Knock-in hinge-cup fixing

The hinge cup has pre-mounted dowels that are pressed into two accurately drilled 8mm fixing holes positioned on 45mm centres beside the main 35mm cup hole. Knock-in hinges are normally installed using suitable Blum insertion equipment or a workshop press.

Knock-in should not be confused with INSERTA. INSERTA uses an integrated locking mechanism for tool-free cup installation, whereas the 75T1680 knock-in cup is mechanically pressed into the prepared drilling pattern.

CLIP top fitting and adjustment

Once the hinge cup has been installed, Blum’s CLIP connection allows the cabinet door to be attached to or removed from a compatible mounting plate without tools. Side, depth and height adjustment enable accurate door alignment after installation.
