The Blum 71B9580 is a 95° CLIP top BLUMOTION overlay hinge designed for thick and profiled cabinet doors. Its straight hinge arm positions the closed door over the cabinet side panel, while the controlled opening angle makes it suitable for installations where a wider-opening hinge is unnecessary or could cause interference.

This version combines integrated BLUMOTION soft closing with a knock-in hinge cup and pre-fitted fixing dowels. The knock-in format is particularly suitable for repeat workshop and production assembly using correctly prepared drilling and appropriate insertion equipment.

The complete hinge has Blum's contemporary Onyx Black finish, allowing it to coordinate with dark cabinetry, black mounting plates and matching cover caps.

Overlay-door application

An overlay hinge positions the closed cabinet door over the front edge of the cabinet side panel. It is commonly searched for as a full-overlay hinge, although the finished overlay dimension depends on the cup drilling distance and selected mounting-plate height.

The door thickness, edge profile, cup position, cabinet construction and required clearance throughout the 95° opening movement must all be considered during planning.

Knock-in hinge-cup fixing

The knock-in hinge cup uses pre-fitted dowels that are pressed into two correctly drilled 8mm fixing holes beside the 35mm cup recess. This creates a repeatable fixing arrangement without separate cup-fixing screws.

Knock-in installation should be completed using suitable Blum insertion equipment or an appropriate workshop assembly method. It should not be confused with Blum's lever-operated, tool-free INSERTA fixing system.

The knock-in specification applies to the hinge-to-door connection. A separate Blum CLIP mounting plate is still required on the cabinet.
