Cherry Flexible Wood Veneer FSHM 25mm x 100m is a genuine real wood veneer edging roll with a pre-applied heat-activated adhesive, designed for furniture production, cabinet edging, shelving, doors and detailed interior joinery.

Cherry is prized for its warm reddish-brown colour, fine grain and smooth, refined appearance. When newly finished, it can appear lighter and more golden, gradually developing a deeper, richer tone through natural exposure to light. This evolving colour gives cherry veneer its distinctive character and makes it suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The pre-glued backing allows the veneer to be bonded without applying a separate adhesive to the board edge. When activated using suitable edge-banding machinery or controlled heat and pressure, it provides a clean and efficient method of finishing compatible furniture-board edges.

The 25mm width offers greater coverage than standard narrow edging and is well suited to cabinet components, thicker shelving, drawer fronts, door edges, trims and repair sections. Supplied in a 100m roll, it is practical for regular workshop use and repeated edging applications.

Appearance

Cherry veneer usually ranges from pale golden brown to warm reddish-brown, with a fine, generally straight grain and occasional natural figure. Its smooth texture and rich colour make it a popular choice for high-quality furniture, cabinetry and decorative joinery.

As this is a genuine natural wood product, colour and grain will vary throughout the roll. Cherry also darkens naturally with exposure to daylight, so newly applied edging may initially appear lighter than established cherry surfaces.

Application Guidance

Ensure the receiving edge is clean, dry, smooth and free from dust, grease and loose material.

Position the veneer accurately and activate the adhesive using suitable edge-banding equipment or a controlled heat source. Apply firm, even pressure while the adhesive is warm to achieve full contact across the complete width.

Allow the adhesive to cool fully before trimming. Lightly sand the finished edge where required and apply a compatible lacquer, oil, stain or clear finish.

Always test the application temperature, pressure and selected finishing product on an offcut before completing the full installation.
