PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Cherry Flexible Wood Veneer FSHM 50mm x 100m is a genuine real wood veneer edging roll with a pre-applied heat-activated adhesive, designed for finishing wide furniture-board edges, built-up panels, cabinet components, doors and specialist interior joinery.

Cherry is valued for its warm natural colouring, fine grain and smooth, refined appearance. Newly finished cherry may appear light golden brown before gradually developing a richer reddish-brown tone through exposure to light. This natural ageing process gives cherry veneer its distinctive depth and makes it suitable for both traditional furniture and contemporary interior schemes.

The pre-glued backing removes the need to apply a separate adhesive to the receiving surface. When activated using suitable edge-banding equipment or controlled heat and pressure, it provides an efficient way to create a clean and professional real wood finish.

The generous 50mm width offers increased coverage for thicker shelves, wide cabinet edges, laminated panels, door components, worktop details and repair sections. Supplied in a 100m roll, it is well suited to professional workshops, furniture production and repeated edging applications.

Appearance

Cherry veneer usually ranges from pale golden brown to warm reddish-brown, with a fine, generally straight grain and occasional natural figure. Its smooth texture and rich colour make it a popular choice for high-quality furniture, cabinetry and decorative joinery.

As this is a genuine natural wood product, variations in grain, tone and figure will occur throughout the roll. Cherry also darkens naturally with exposure to daylight, so newly applied edging may initially appear lighter than established cherry surfaces.

Application Guidance

Ensure the receiving edge is clean, dry, smooth and free from dust, grease and loose material.

Position the veneer accurately and activate the adhesive using suitable edge-banding machinery or a controlled heat source. Apply firm, even pressure while the adhesive is warm to achieve consistent contact across the full width.

Allow the adhesive to cool fully before trimming the excess veneer. Lightly sand where required and apply a compatible lacquer, oil, stain or clear protective finish.

Always test the application temperature, pressure and selected finishing product on an offcut before completing the full installation.
