PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Easiwood Sycamore Flexible Veneer Sheet — 2400 x 1200mm
Unlike traditional wood veneers, Easiwood Flexible Veneer is designed to bend, wrap and conform to curved and shaped surfaces with far greater ease. Manufactured from genuine Sycamore timber on a flexible backing, it combines the clean, bright character of this classic European hardwood with the practicality demanded by modern furniture makers, cabinet manufacturers and interior fit-out professionals.
Sycamore is prized for its creamy white to pale golden tones, fine even grain and natural lustre — one of the brightest and cleanest-looking of all European hardwoods. Its consistent, almost silky texture makes it a popular choice for contemporary cabinetry, fitted furniture, architectural panelling and high-end interior joinery where a light, fresh and refined finish is required.
Unlike traditional veneers that can crack or split when wrapped around shaped surfaces, Easiwood is engineered to bend around curves, radiused edges and contoured panels with ease. The flexible backing makes installation faster, cleaner and more reliable while preserving the authentic beauty of real Sycamore wood. The generous 2400 x 1200mm sheet size is ideal for fitted furniture, reception desks, feature wall panelling, kitchen cabinetry, wardrobes and bespoke woodworking projects where a premium natural finish is required.
Why Choose Easiwood Instead of Standard Veneer?
The biggest advantage of Easiwood is its flexibility. Traditional veneers can crack, split or become difficult to position when applied around curves or complex shapes. Easiwood has been developed to overcome these limitations, making it the preferred choice for both production workshops and bespoke furniture makers.

Storage and Handling
Store the veneer flat in a clean, dry environment, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and changing humidity. Do not leave the sheet unsupported or tightly rolled for prolonged periods.
Before installation, allow the veneer and substrate to acclimatise together for at least 24 hours under the conditions in which they will be bonded. Handle the sheet carefully to avoid creasing or damaging the natural wood surface.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Easiwood Sycamore veneer made from real wood?
Yes. The decorative face is genuine natural Sycamore veneer supported by a flexible backing. Colour and grain will therefore vary between sheets.
Is the veneer supplied with adhesive?
No. This Easiwood sheet is not pre-glued. A suitable contact adhesive or professional veneer bonding system must be selected for the substrate and application.
Can the sheet be applied to curved panels?
The flexible backing allows the veneer to conform more readily to gentle curves and radiused components than conventional unsupported veneer. Suitability will depend on the radius, substrate, grain direction and adhesive, so a test application is recommended.
Can Sycamore veneer be stained?
Yes, but Sycamore can change colour noticeably when stained or coated. Test the selected stain or finish on an offcut before treating the completed component.
Does the veneer need sanding?
The surface is supplied pre-sanded, but light finishing preparation may still be required after installation and trimming. Avoid aggressive sanding because the genuine wood layer is thin.
How should the veneer be stored?
Keep it flat in a clean, dry and stable environment, protected from sunlight, moisture and excessive temperature changes.
Can several sheets be used together?
Yes. Because natural grain and colour vary, arrange the sheets before cutting to find the most attractive sequence and visual match.
