Application Guidance

4. Cut the veneer slightly longer than the finished component.
5. Apply a compatible adhesive following its manufacturer’s instructions.
6. Position the veneer accurately and apply firm, even pressure across its full width.
7. Allow the bond to develop fully before trimming the excess material.
8. Trim towards the panel face to reduce the risk of splitting the veneer.
9. Lightly finish the edge and apply a compatible coating where required.

Finishing Maple Veneer

The real Maple surface can be finished with a compatible lacquer, oil, wax or stain. Clear finishes normally deepen the natural colour slightly, while stains can produce more noticeable changes because Maple has a close, fine grain.

Test all finishing products on an offcut first. Avoid aggressive sanding, as decorative real-wood veneer is considerably thinner than solid timber.
