Installation Guidance

Install only into sound structural timber of sufficient thickness and strength. Use an appropriately sized pilot hole and follow the supplier's requirements for thread engagement and installation depth. Do not install into MDF, chipboard, thin boards, split timber or timber affected by decay.

For outdoor installations, inspect the hook and supporting structure regularly for movement, wear, corrosion or deterioration. Zinc plating improves corrosion resistance but is not equivalent to stainless steel or hot-dip galvanising in exposed or marine environments.
