The summer has always been the perfect season to tackle those at-home DIY projects that you’ve been putting off...
Every kitchen needs cabinets, but not every cabinet opens as effectively as we would like; perhaps there’s a cupboard which opens the wrong way, a door which swings shut when you want it to stay open, or that one corner unit that houses all the junk that no-one needs because it’s impossible to get into to...

Hinges   Back to Hart Wholesale

Hinges are moving mechanisms that are typically found on gates, and doors. They allow objects to open and close freely while linked together.

At Hart Wholesale, we stock many different types of hinges for all your home improvement and building tasks. From exterior and continuous hinges to pivot, butt and cabinet hinges we will supply the hinge you are looking for. Just a few examples of our stock are listed below.

Blum Hinges

Blum hinges are a very popular choice amongst tradesmen and the building industry. In this section you will find a lot of variety in hinge type. We stock angled, glass, blumotion, unsprung and many more.

Butt Hinges

Butt hinges can typically be found on doors in the home or office. They can be found in a variety of different shapes, materials and finishes. The finishes will more often than not be in stainless steel, polished brass or satin chrome. These finishes do a great job in giving the hinge an extra layer of protection to handle the daily stress placed upon them.

They also use bearings to their advantage which help significantly reduce the amount of friction on the knuckle and pin.

Exterior Hinges

Take a look at our great range of exterior hinges which include everything from tee to storm proof hinges. Our stock is suitable for all your exterior doors and gates. They can withstand the test of time and the elements.

Sprung Hinges

This type of hinge can commonly be known as self closing hinges because they include a spring action which allows the knuckle and pivot to be gradually shut.

Generally, you get two different types of sprung hinges, single and double action. You will often find the double action type in restaurant kitchens where there is always food coming and going. Single actions do a similar job to door closers but can be installed at a cheaper price.
