LED tape is an incredibly simple but effective way to bring more light into your home. It’s the perfect way to transform dark corners, create stunning features at very little cost and modernise every room in your house. LED tape comes in a variety of assorted colours and brightness’s to suit every room in your house.

It is flexible, so can be fixed in places where traditional lighting might not usually fit. You can also cut the tape to the exact size you need, and attach more than one strip together if necessary, offering you a bespoke lighting solution at a very low cost.

Here are just a few ideas to get you started:

1. Feature Wall

Make a simple feature of an existing painting or a wallpapered wall by lining the edge with LED tape. The LED tape can be used to line the inside of a frame to give a painting that gallery feel, or you could apply the same technique to a whole wall to focus the eye to a particular focal point in a room.

2. Bathroom Mirror

Tracing the edge of your bathroom mirror with LED tape will give you a mirror to rival any A-list star’s green room. If your mirror sits away from the wall, you can place the lights on the back of it. The light from the LED tape will then bounce off the wall and emit a soft glow around the edge. If your mirror sits flat against the wall, you can either create a border with the tape itself or line the inside of the mirror’s frame with the LED tape.

3. Stairs

Follow the edge of the wall or place tape under the lip of each stair to create a soft lighting effect which is perfect for guiding you up to bed without having to switch on the main lights and disturb others. This is a great safety feature if you regularly go up and down the stairs at night and creates an incredibly stylish interior design feature at the same time.

4. Garden Furniture

Sourcing outdoor lighting which is effective and still affordable can feel like an impossible task but attaching LED tape to your outdoor furniture is the perfect solution. Tracing the contours of your chairs and tables outside will create a stylish and warming effect in your garden, allowing you to carry on enjoying your outdoor space well after the sun has set.

5. Inside Cupboards and Drawers

We all have those hard-to-reach cupboards where there never seems to be enough light to see into the corners. As LED tape is so small and discreet, it can be placed in cupboards and drawers where there wouldn’t be space for more traditional forms of lighting.

6. Feature Lamps

Coil LED tape strips inside a large glass jar or vase to create a bright and stylish feature lamp in the space of minutes. You can also upcycle interesting objects with LED tape to turn them into stylish pieces of feature lighting for your home, without having to pay a large amount of money or be a trained electrician.

7. Children’s Nightlights

If you have a child who is scared of the dark, LED tape can provide the perfect nightlight. The flexibility of the tape means that you can use it to create designs, so you could draw the outline of your child’s favourite character on their wall to watch over them while they sleep.

Be sure to choose a softer lighting option to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere. If you have any more questions about how LED tape could transform your home, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
