Blum 71T3580 CLIP top 110° Overlay Knock-In Hinge

The Blum 71T3580 is a sprung concealed hinge for overlay cabinet doors. Its straight arm and 110° opening suit a correctly planned cabinet door where the closed front overlaps the cabinet side. It uses a 35 mm knock-in cup with pre-mounted dowels, not a screw-on or INSERTA cup.

Knock-in fitting

Prepare the door to the exact Blum drilling pattern. Press the pre-mounted dowels evenly into the two 8 mm fixing holes at 45 mm centres beside the 35 mm cup boring, using suitable insertion equipment to avoid damage. The prior listing states approximately 11 mm minimum cup depth and a 3–7 mm drilling distance; check current Blum planning data and the actual door before machining. INSERTA instead uses a tool-free cup-locking mechanism. If conventional door-side screws are needed, choose the Blum 71T3550 screw-on overlay hinge. The 71T3590 is the INSERTA overlay option.

Door alignment and closing

A separately purchased compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate fixes to the cabinet. Its arm-to-plate CLIP connection lets the door be removed and rehung without tools; the knock-in cup itself is not installed tool-free. The spiral screw adjusts depth, with further side and height adjustment subject to the chosen plate. The hinge spring pulls the door closed, but it has no integrated BLUMOTION soft close.
