Blum 71T3590 CLIP Top 110° Overlay INSERTA Hinge – Nickel

The Blum 71T3590 is a sprung CLIP top concealed hinge for standard overlay cabinet doors. Its straight hinge arm provides an opening angle of 110°, making it suitable for kitchen cabinets, bedroom furniture and other fitted or freestanding cabinetry.

This version uses Blum’s INSERTA fixing system. The hinge cup locks into a correctly prepared door without conventional fixing screws, providing fast and repeatable installation during furniture production or replacement work.

The hinge is sprung to provide a self-closing action. It does not contain integrated BLUMOTION soft close. For the equivalent INSERTA hinge with built-in soft closing, choose the Blum 71B3590 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge.

What is an INSERTA hinge?

INSERTA describes the way the hinge cup attaches to the cabinet door. Once the correct 35mm cup and two 8mm fixing holes have been drilled, the hinge is inserted into the door and secured using its locking mechanism. No separate cup-fixing screws are required.

INSERTA does not refer to the mounting plate. A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate is still required to attach the door to the cabinet.

Sprung hinge without integrated soft close

The 71T3590 contains a closing spring that helps pull the door into its closed position. It is a standard CLIP top hinge and does not have integrated BLUMOTION.

If built-in soft closing is required, use the Blum 71B3590 overlay INSERTA hinge. Checking the complete part number is important because 71T3590 and 71B3590 have the same overlay application and INSERTA fixing but different closing mechanisms.

Choosing the correct cup fixing

Blum offers this sprung 110° overlay hinge with several door-fixing options. The 71T3550 screw-on hinge is fixed to the door using conventional screws. The 71T3580 knock-in hinge uses knock-in dowels. The 71T3590 INSERTA hinge provides tool-free hinge-cup attachment for accurately prepared doors.

Mounting plate required

The hinge clips onto a compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate, which is purchased separately. Plate height and fixing method must be selected to suit the cabinet construction and required door overlay.
