Blum 73B3550 110° Special Overlay BLUMOTION Hinge

The Blum 73B3550 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge is a specialist overlay hinge with increased overlay capacity for cabinets with thicker side panels. Blum’s planning data provides overlay options up to 20 mm, depending on the mounting plate, drilling distance and cabinet construction.

This Onyx black version opens to 110° and combines a sprung closing action with integrated, switchable BLUMOTION for smooth and controlled door closing.

Why use the special 73B3550 hinge?

A standard overlay hinge may not provide enough door coverage when used on a thicker cabinet side. The 73B3550 has specialist geometry that allows a larger overlay while retaining CLIP installation and three-dimensional adjustment.

Compatibility and fitting

Before ordering, confirm the existing Blum part number, cabinet-side thickness, required overlay, door thickness, drilling distance and mounting-plate height. The maximum overlay is not produced by the hinge alone.

Blum planning data includes door thicknesses from 16 to 30 mm, with a trial installation recommended for the thickest applications. Always check the required door gap and movement before production drilling.

The mounting plate is sold separately. Blum opening-angle stop 70T3553 can reduce the opening to approximately 86° and is also sold separately.
