The Blum 79A9496BT CLIP top angled hinge is designed for specialist +30° Type III maximum-overlay applications. It provides the hinge-arm geometry needed to position a cabinet door correctly on a strongly angled or diagonal cabinet front where a conventional straight hinge cannot be used.

This hinge has a 95° opening angle and a sprung, self-closing mechanism. The internal spring draws the door into its closed position, but the hinge does not contain integrated BLUMOTION soft-close damping.

Understanding the +30° measurement

The +30° figure identifies the angled cabinet application. It does not mean that the cabinet door only opens through 30°. Once installed in the correct cabinet arrangement, the hinge allows the door to open to approximately 95°.

Tool-free INSERTA hinge-cup fixing

Correct mounting-plate selection

The required mounting plate depends on the precise cabinet angle and door overlay. Blum’s planning information shows that +30° Type III applications may use different mounting-plate heights or angled spacers depending on the actual cabinet angle and fixing position.
