Blum 79A9458.T CLIP top +45° Type III angled hinge

The Blum 79A9458.T CLIP top hinge is engineered for +45° Type III maximum-overlay cabinet applications. Often described as a cross-corner hinge, it provides the specialist hinge-arm geometry required to position a full-overlay door correctly on angled kitchen cabinets, diagonal corner units and bespoke furniture.

A conventional straight-arm hinge cannot normally achieve the correct door position on this type of cabinet construction. The 79A9458.T is specifically cranked for maximum overlay, helping the front cover the cabinet side correctly while retaining accurate adjustment and Blum’s tool-free CLIP mounting system.

The +45° designation describes the intended cabinet and door geometry. It is not the distance through which the door opens. When installed with the appropriate mounting plate and drilling position, the hinge provides an opening angle of approximately 95°.

This legacy CLIP top version has a sprung closing mechanism, which pulls the cabinet door towards its closed position. It does not have integrated BLUMOTION damping and should not be described as an unsprung or push-to-open hinge.
