Blum 75B1550 107° Full-Overlay Hinge with BLUMOTION
The Blum 75B1550 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge is a sprung, soft-closing concealed hinge for standard full-overlay cabinet doors between 15mm and 24mm thick. It combines a practical 107° opening angle with integrated BLUMOTION and a traditional screw-on 35mm hinge cup.
Its straight hinge arm positions the closed door over the front edge of the cabinet side. This makes the hinge suitable for full-overlay kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, bedroom furniture, bathroom units and fitted storage where smooth, controlled door closing is required.

Technical specification
Standard full-overlay application
A full-overlay cabinet door covers the front edge of the cabinet side when closed. The straight arm of the 75B1550 provides the geometry required for this common cabinet construction.
The final overlay and door gap depend on the mounting-plate height, door thickness and cup drilling distance. Check the complete hinge and mounting-plate combination during cabinet planning, and trial-fit the door before drilling a complete production run.
Integrated BLUMOTION soft close
BLUMOTION is built into the hinge cup and slows the door during the final part of its closing movement. This produces smooth, quiet and controlled closing without requiring a separate soft-close adapter.
The BLUMOTION function can be deactivated on individual hinges. This is useful on small or lightweight doors where fewer active dampers may provide a better closing movement.
Designed for 15–24mm doors
The 75B1550 is intended for standard cabinet doors from 15mm to 24mm thick. Its 11.5mm cup depth is shallower than the 13mm cup used by many 110° Blum hinges, but the product should not be described as a specialist hinge for exceptionally thin doors.
Door thickness, edge profile, boring distance and the required minimum gap must all be considered when planning the installation.
Screw-on hinge-cup fixing
The 35mm hinge cup is fitted into a correctly prepared boring in the back of the cabinet door. It is secured using suitable screws through the two holes in the hinge flange. These fixing holes have 45mm centres and a 9.5mm offset from the centre of the cup.
“Screw-on” refers to the way the hinge cup attaches to the door. It does not describe the fixing method used by the separate mounting plate.
CLIP mounting and adjustment
The hinge connects to a compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate without tools. This enables the door to be removed and refitted without disturbing its adjustment settings.
Once installed, the door can be adjusted sideways and in depth. Height adjustment is provided by the selected mounting plate, allowing consistent door alignment and cabinet gaps.
75B1550 compared with the Blum 71B3550
Both hinges are sprung full-overlay models with integrated BLUMOTION and screw-on cups. The 75B1550 opens to 107° and has an 11.5mm cup depth, while the 71B3550 opens to 110° and has a 13mm cup depth.
Always match the replacement hinge by its complete Blum part number rather than relying solely on its appearance or opening angle.
