Blum 71B3690 CLIP top BLUMOTION Half Overlay INSERTA Hinge

The Blum 71B3690 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge combines integrated soft-close performance with fast, tool-free INSERTA installation and a contemporary Onyx Black finish. Its 110° opening angle and dual, or half-overlay, hinge arm make it suitable for two cabinet doors mounted to opposite sides of the same centre partition.

BLUMOTION is built directly into the hinge cup, producing a controlled and quiet closing action without requiring a separate soft-close adapter. The mechanism can also be deactivated when necessary, which is useful when working with smaller or lighter cabinet doors.

The INSERTA fixing system allows the hinge cup to be secured into correctly prepared door drillings without screws or tools. Once installed, the CLIP mechanism connects the door to a compatible mounting plate quickly and allows it to be removed again without disturbing the adjustment settings.

Half-overlay cabinet application

A half-overlay hinge is used when two cabinet doors share the same central partition. Each door covers only part of the panel edge, allowing both doors to open independently without interfering with one another. This differs from a full-overlay hinge, which is normally used on an outside cabinet side where one door covers most of the panel edge.
