PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Blum 70T3750.TL CLIP Top 110° Inset Unsprung Screw-On Hinge – Nickel
The Blum 70T3750.TL is an unsprung concealed hinge for inset cabinet doors. Its double-cranked hinge arm positions the closed door inside the cabinet opening rather than over the front edges of the cabinet sides.
With no closing spring, the hinge allows the door to move freely. This makes it particularly suitable for handleless inset doors operated by Blum TIP-ON.
The steel hinge cup is secured to the door using a conventional screw-on fixing. Once fitted to a compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate, the cabinet door can be attached, removed and rehung without tools.

Technical specifications
What is an inset cabinet hinge?
An inset hinge is used when the closed cabinet door sits within the cabinet opening instead of covering the front edges of the cabinet sides. The double-cranked arm positions the door farther inside the cabinet. A consistent clearance must be maintained around the door so it can open without catching the cabinet sides, frame or adjoining doors.
Inset installations require careful planning because the final door position is affected by door thickness, hinge-cup drilling distance, mounting-plate position and height, door-edge profile, hinge adjustment and the required operating gap.
Designed for TIP-ON handleless doors
The 70T3750.TL does not have a closing spring. Its free-moving action allows a compatible TIP-ON ejector to push the inset door open when the front is pressed.
For inset doors, the extended travel of the Blum TIP-ON long door unit with magnet is normally required. The magnetic catch holds the door closed until the TIP-ON mechanism is activated. The TIP-ON unit is not included with the hinge and must be ordered separately.
Screw-on hinge-cup installation
The hinge requires a 35mm cup drilling with two screw-fixing positions on 45mm centres. The steel hinge cup is placed into the prepared drilling and secured directly to the back of the cabinet door using suitable screws. “Screw-on” describes the hinge-cup fixing on the door. It does not refer to the separate cabinet-side mounting plate.
Planning the mounting-plate position
For an inset application, the mounting plate is positioned farther back inside the cabinet than it would be for an overlay door. Blum’s standard planning guidance sets the mounting-plate fixing position back by the door thickness plus 1.5mm. The exact position should be checked against the selected mounting plate, cup drilling distance, cabinet construction and required door gaps before production drilling.
Mounting plate required
This product is supplied as one hinge. A compatible Blum CLIP cabinet-side mounting plate must be ordered separately. Confirm the mounting-plate height and fixing position for the specific inset application.

Frequently asked questions
Does the 70T3750.TL include soft close?
No. This hinge does not include BLUMOTION. Choose the Blum 71B3750 if an inset screw-on hinge with integrated soft closing is required.
Is it a self-closing hinge?
No. The 70T3750.TL is unsprung and does not pull the cabinet door closed.
What does inset mean?
Inset means the closed door sits inside the cabinet opening rather than overlapping the front edges of the cabinet sides.
Can it be used with TIP-ON?
Yes. Its unsprung, free-moving action makes it suitable for TIP-ON handleless doors.
Which TIP-ON unit is normally used for an inset door?
The extended or long TIP-ON unit with magnet is normally required because inset doors need additional ejector travel. Confirm against the door size and application.
Is the TIP-ON unit included?
No. The hinge and TIP-ON opening unit are separate products.
Is a mounting plate included?
No. A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate must be selected and purchased separately.
Where is the mounting plate positioned for an inset door?
Blum’s standard starting position sets the mounting-plate fixing location back by the door thickness plus 1.5mm. The final position depends on the cabinet construction and required clearances.
What drilling is required?
The hinge requires a 35mm cup hole, approximately 13mm deep, with two screw-fixing positions on 45mm centres. The cup drilling distance is 3–7mm.
What is the difference between 70T3750.TL and 70T3790.TL?
Both are unsprung 110° inset hinges. The 70T3750.TL has a screw-on hinge cup, while the 70T3790.TL uses tool-free INSERTA cup fixing.
Can the cabinet door be removed without unscrewing the cup?
Yes. The CLIP connection releases the hinge arm from the mounting plate while the screw-on cup remains attached to the door.
