Blum CLIP top 94° Mini Inset Screw-On Hinge 71T0750

The Blum CLIP top 71T0750 is a sprung 94° mini concealed hinge for fully inset cabinet doors. Its compact 26mm hinge cup is designed for small doors and narrow timber frames where there is insufficient room for a conventional 35mm cup hinge.

The full-cranked hinge arm positions the closed door inside the cabinet opening, creating a neat inset appearance rather than allowing the door to overlap the cabinet sides.

Designed for narrow frames

The compact 26mm cup makes this mini hinge suitable for narrow-framed cabinet doors, small inset kitchen doors, bathroom furniture, display cabinets, compact storage units, bespoke furniture with limited boring width, and replacement applications requiring a 26mm cup. The door construction must provide sufficient material around the cup bore and screw-fixing positions.

Sprung closing action

The 71T0750 contains a closing spring that pulls the door into its closed position. It does not contain integrated BLUMOTION soft close. A suitable external BLUMOTION damper can be fitted separately where controlled soft closing is required.

A sprung hinge and a soft-close hinge are not the same: the spring closes the door, while BLUMOTION provides damping during the final stage of closing.

Screw-on hinge-cup fixing

The 26mm hinge cup fits into a correctly prepared bore in the back of the door and is secured with suitable screws through the cup flange. “Screw-on” describes the door-side hinge cup. It does not describe the separate cabinet mounting plate.

The hinge arm connects to a compatible mounting plate using Blum’s CLIP mechanism. This allows the completed door to be attached to or removed from the cabinet without tools. A third locating pin in the hinge arm provides additional stability on the mounting plate.

Inset mounting-plate position

A compatible cabinet-side Blum CLIP mounting plate is required and sold separately. For an inset application, Blum specifies that the mounting-plate fixing position should be moved back by the door thickness plus 1.5mm. Final gaps also depend on the cup drilling distance, mounting-plate spacing and cabinet construction. A trial installation is recommended before drilling a complete set of doors.

Optional BLUMOTION damping

The hinge does not contain integrated soft close. Blum identifies the 970A1002 drilled-in BLUMOTION damper as an optional damping solution for compatible mini-hinge applications. Check the cabinet construction and Blum installation guidance before drilling for the damper.
