PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The 626 mm ExiSound Concealex A8100 Superior is an automatic threshold drop seal recessed into the bottom of a suitable door. Its satin anodised aluminium casing contains a self-levelling, sound-insulating TPE seal. Choose the nominal length after measuring the door and checking the door assembly’s fitting requirements.

Door preparation and trimming

The supplied fitting instructions specify a 14 mm wide × 35 mm deep routed slot and preparation for the endplates. Follow the fitting instructions for plunger position. Measure the door width, allow for the endplates as directed in the instructions, and cut only from the end opposite the plunger. For this 626 mm version, the manufacturer brochure permits a maximum reduction of 150 mm. Check the required finished length before making any cut.

Fire, smoke and acoustic information

The manufacturer’s A8100 Superior range brochure reports fire testing for 30 and 60 minutes to BS EN 1634-1:2014 and acoustic testing up to 44 dB to BS EN ISO 10140-2:2010. CERTIFIRE CF5785 addresses smoke-sealing use only within its stated door-assembly and installation conditions. Product test information does not itself confer a fire or acoustic rating on an installed door assembly.
