Birch Flexible Wood Veneer FS Unglued 22mm x 100m is a real wood veneer edging roll designed for furniture production, cabinet making, shelving, repairs and detailed interior joinery.

Birch has a naturally pale, clean appearance with a fine, even grain. Its understated timber character makes it particularly suitable for contemporary furniture, light-coloured cabinetry and projects where a smooth, consistent wood finish is required.

The 22mm width is well suited to covering the exposed edges of common furniture boards, panels, shelves, cabinet components, drawer fronts and door sections. Supplied in a generous 100-metre roll, it is a practical option for workshops, manufacturers, furniture repairers and professional joiners completing repeated edging work.

This veneer is supplied without a pre-applied adhesive, allowing the installer to select an adhesive appropriate for the board material, production method and intended application. Once fitted, the veneer can be trimmed, lightly sanded and finished with compatible oils, stains, lacquers or clear coatings.

What Does FS Mean?

FS stands for Fleeced and Sanded. The back of the veneer is fleeced for flexibility and stability, and the front face is sanded to a smooth, consistent finish ready for application. This product has no pre-applied adhesive — a separate adhesive must be used during installation.

Installation Guidance

Ensure the receiving surface is clean, dry, smooth and free from dust, grease or loose material. Apply a suitable adhesive evenly in accordance with the adhesive manufacturer's instructions, position the veneer carefully and press it firmly into place.

Once the adhesive has cured, trim away any excess material using an appropriate veneer trimmer or sharp cutting tool. The surface can then be lightly sanded and finished to complement the surrounding timber or board surface.

As birch is a natural material, variations in grain, shade and figure should be expected between rolls and production batches.
