Blum 70M2580.TL CLIP 100° Overlay TIP-ON Knock-In Hinge

The Blum 70M2580.TL is an unsprung CLIP concealed hinge for full-overlay handleless cabinet doors. Its free-moving action is designed for use with a suitable Blum TIP-ON push-to-open unit.

The hinge opens to 100° and uses a shallow knock-in cup requiring a minimum drilling depth of only 10.5mm. This makes it useful where cup depth is restricted, subject to the door material and Blum’s planning requirements.

Important: this hinge has no closing spring and no soft-close damper. It is designed for TIP-ON push-to-open operation and should not be described as BLUMOTION compatible.

Full-overlay cabinet application

The straight hinge arm is designed for full-overlay cabinet doors, where the closed front covers most of the cabinet side panel. The final overlay depends on the mounting-plate height, cup-drilling distance and cabinet construction.

The hinge provides a 100° opening angle, making it suitable for standard kitchen, bedroom and fitted-furniture cabinets where a controlled opening angle is preferred.

Designed for handleless TIP-ON doors

The .TL version has free hinge movement without a closing spring. Pressing the door activates a compatible TIP-ON unit, which releases and pushes the front open far enough to be grasped.

The TIP-ON unit, catch or magnet and any required adapter must be selected for the cabinet construction and ordered separately.

Knock-in cup installation

The hinge has pre-mounted dowels that are mechanically pressed into accurately prepared fixing holes. Installation requires a 35mm cup bore together with two 8mm dowel holes positioned on 45mm centres.

Knock-in installation is not tool-free. The hinge should be fitted using suitable Blum insertion equipment or a controlled workshop press to avoid damaging the hinge cup or cabinet door.

This fixing method should not be confused with INSERTA, which uses an integrated locking mechanism for tool-free cup installation.

CLIP fitting and adjustment

Once the cup is installed, the hinge arm clips onto a compatible Blum mounting plate without tools. The door can therefore be attached or removed without undoing the mounting-plate screws.

Three-dimensional adjustment allows the door position and cabinet gaps to be aligned after installation.
