PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Blum AVENTOS HK-XS 20K1101 stay-lift mechanism provides compact upward-opening support for small single-piece cabinet fronts. Its 200–1000 power-factor range covers lighter HK-XS applications where a full-size lift system would occupy unnecessary cabinet space.

Stock code HI20K1101SET identifies this standard configuration. It is not the TIP-ON version and must not be described as a push-to-open or handleless mechanism. The symmetrical lift mechanism can be used on one side or, where the application requires it, on both sides of the cabinet.

Compact stay-lift operation

AVENTOS HK-XS is designed for small wall cabinets, tall-unit applications and compact overhead storage. When correctly selected and adjusted, the mechanism balances the cabinet front and allows it to remain at a convenient intermediate position rather than dropping closed.

The standard opening angle is approximately 105°. A compatible hinge with a smaller opening angle will limit the final movement accordingly. The cabinet front remains connected through separately selected hinges, so the correct hinge, mounting plate and fixing components are essential to the complete application.

Selecting the correct power factor

The 20K1101 mechanism covers a power-factor range of 200–1000 when used on one side. Power factor is calculated by multiplying the cabinet height in millimetres by the complete front weight in kilograms, including the handle. It is not a weight measurement.

When a lift mechanism is installed on both sides, Blum states that the available power factor is doubled. Use current Blum planning information and carry out a trial application when the calculated requirement falls within an overlapping or borderline range.

Standard operation and soft closing

This standard mechanism is intended for an application using appropriate compatible sprung hinges. Soft, controlled closing is achieved in conjunction with suitable CLIP top BLUMOTION hinges; BLUMOTION is not integrated into the lift mechanism itself. For a handleless application, select the AVENTOS HK-XS 20K1101T TIP-ON set and the required unsprung hinges and TIP-ON components.

It is the mechanism's power-factor range, not a weight in grams. Power factor is calculated from the cabinet height and the complete front weight.

Is this the TIP-ON version?

No. Blum 20K1101 is the standard AVENTOS HK-XS mechanism. The corresponding light-duty TIP-ON mechanism uses article number 20K1101T and has a different power-factor range.

Does the mechanism include BLUMOTION?

No. The lift mechanism does not contain integrated BLUMOTION. Soft closing requires suitable compatible CLIP top BLUMOTION hinges.

Can it be fitted on both sides of a cabinet?
