Blum 70T3590.TL CLIP Top 110° Overlay Unsprung INSERTA Hinge - Nickel

The Blum 70T3590.TL is a free-moving, unsprung concealed hinge for full-overlay cabinet doors. Its unsprung action makes it particularly suitable for handleless doors operated by Blum TIP-ON.

This version features Blum’s INSERTA hinge-cup fixing. The hinge cup can be secured to a correctly prepared cabinet door without screws or insertion machinery, making installation fast and repeatable.

The 70T3590.TL does not contain a closing spring or integrated BLUMOTION. When combined with a compatible TIP-ON unit, the cabinet door opens with a light press and moves freely without working against a hinge spring.

Designed for TIP-ON handleless doors

An unsprung hinge does not pull the cabinet door closed. This free movement allows a compatible TIP-ON ejector to push the door open when the front is pressed.

For standard overlay doors, pair the hinge with a suitable Blum TIP-ON short door unit and magnet. The TIP-ON mechanism is a separate product and is not supplied with this hinge.

What is Blum INSERTA?

INSERTA is Blum’s tool-free method of securing the hinge cup to the cabinet door. The hinge is placed into a correctly prepared drilling pattern consisting of one 35mm hinge-cup hole, two 8mm fixing holes, and 45mm fixing-hole centres. Closing the INSERTA locking flap expands the fixings and secures the hinge cup without screws.

INSERTA is different from a knock-in fixing, which normally requires suitable hinge-insertion machinery or a press-in ram.

Mounting plate required

INSERTA only describes how the hinge cup attaches to the cabinet door. It is not a mounting plate.

A compatible Blum CLIP cabinet-side mounting plate is required and must be purchased separately. The correct mounting-plate height and fixing method depend on the cabinet construction and required door overlay.

Does the 70T3590.TL include soft close?

No. It does not include BLUMOTION or any other soft-close mechanism. Choose the Blum 71B3590 if integrated soft closing is required.

Is this a self-closing hinge?
