Strut Hinge 4258 80 x 20, Brass Finish

The CC515A 4258 strut hinge offers an 80 x 20 size reference and an electroplated-brass finish. Its strut-hinge pattern makes it a distinct fitting to compare with the smaller jewel-box hinge and the quadrant hinge in the wider range.

Choosing This Hinge

Choose the 4258 pattern by its geometry and mounting requirements, not simply by its finish. The current listing does not establish a fixed opening angle or a load rating. In particular, do not transfer the 90° opening specification of HI1227 to this different hinge.

Fitting and Selection

Check the hinge position, leaf clearance and fixing layout against the lid, screen or panel. Confirm that the intended movement is unobstructed before final fixing, and select fixings appropriate to the receiving material. Do not assume that a similar-looking fitting has the same fixing centres or geometry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the opening angle or load capacity confirmed?

No opening angle or load capacity is stated in the current product specification. Check those requirements before selecting this hinge for a particular installation.

What size should I check?

This version is identified by 80 x 20 as its size reference. Check fixing centres separately before ordering.

What does the finish description mean?

Electroplated brass describes the surface finish. It is not confirmation that the underlying fitting is solid brass.

Which other fitting should I compare?

Compare Quadrant Hinge 40 x 30 mm, Self-Colour Brass (HI1227). Check its individual dimensions and function; it is not automatically a direct replacement.

Explore case catches, handles and box fittings; for closing fittings, compare Ornate Jewel Box Clip 3126, Brass (CC500A). Check each component independently when planning the complete assembly.
