Blum 71T3690 CLIP top 110° Half-Overlay INSERTA Hinge

The Blum 71T3690 is a sprung concealed hinge for dual or half-overlay cabinet doors. A cranked arm positions two doors hinged on opposite sides of a shared central partition, each covering part of that panel. “Dual” names the application, not a two-piece pack: one purchase supplies one hinge.

Tool-free INSERTA cup, separate cabinet plate

The 35 mm hinge cup locks into an accurately drilled door with Blum’s INSERTA mechanism, without conventional cup-fixing screws. This model’s existing technical data specifies two 8 mm fixing holes on 45 mm centres, a 13 mm cup drilling depth and 3–7 mm drilling distance. Confirm the full drilling pattern and front clearance against current Blum planning information before machining. INSERTA applies to the door-side cup; a compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate still needs to be purchased and fixed separately to the cabinet. The hinge arm clips onto that plate without tools for door removal and rehanging.

Sprung closing and fitting choices

The 110° hinge spring draws the door closed. There is no integrated BLUMOTION soft close. Existing product data lists ±2 mm side and +3/−2 mm spiral-screw depth adjustment, with height adjustment through the chosen plate. Plate spacing, cup position, door thickness and cabinet geometry determine the final half-overlay gap; do not assume the previously listed 24 mm door-thickness figure applies to every front.
