PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Blum 71T3790 CLIP top 110° Inset INSERTA Hinge
Bring an inset cabinet door neatly inside its opening with the fully cranked arm of the Blum 71T3790. This nickel-plated steel hinge opens to 110° and has a closing spring. Its INSERTA hinge cup locks into a correctly prepared door without conventional cup-fixing screws. One purchase supplies one hinge; the cabinet mounting plate is separate.
Inset doors and INSERTA fixing
Unlike an overlay door, an inset front closes within the cabinet opening, leaving a planned clearance around its edges. The 35 mm cup requires two additional 8 mm INSERTA fixing holes at 45 mm centres according to this model’s recorded specifications. The product data also records 13 mm cup drilling depth, a 3–7 mm drilling distance, ±2 mm side adjustment and +3/−2 mm depth adjustment. Check the complete Blum drilling and collision plan for the exact front, plate and cabinet before machining. A single 35 mm cup hole without the additional holes is not enough for INSERTA. Do not assume a universal 24 mm door-thickness limit or fixed inset gap.
Sprung closing, without integrated soft close
The spring draws the door towards closed, but the 71T3790 has no built-in BLUMOTION damper. For an inset hinge with a conventional screw-on door cup instead, compare the 71T3750 screw-on model. Their cup-fixing patterns differ; choose the version that matches the door preparation.
CLIP connection and separate mounting plate
The hinge arm clips onto a compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate without tools, allowing the fitted door to be released without removing its INSERTA cup. Select the plate’s height, fixing method and inset location against the cabinet design. The plate is sold separately. See the Blum CLIP top hinge range for other door positions and fixing methods.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this hinge have soft close?
No. It is sprung and self-closing but has no integrated BLUMOTION.
What does INSERTA mean?
It is the tool-free locking system for the cup-to-door connection, requiring the correct cup and additional fixing-hole drillings.
Does INSERTA refer to the cabinet mounting plate?
No. The cabinet needs a separately selected compatible CLIP mounting plate.
What does inset mean?
The closed door sits inside the cabinet opening rather than overlapping its side panels.
Is a mounting plate included?
No. This listing supplies one hinge only; purchase the plate separately.
Can the door be removed without tools?
Yes. Release the CLIP arm from its plate while leaving the INSERTA cup secured in the door.
Will it fit every 24 mm door?
Not automatically. Door profile, drilling, plate selection and opening clearance must be checked against Blum planning information.
