Blum 71B3790 CLIP top BLUMOTION 110° Inset INSERTA Hinge

The Blum 71B3790 is a sprung, nickel-plated hinge for fully inset cabinet doors, which close within the cabinet opening rather than overlaying its sides. The fully cranked hinge arm provides the inset geometry. Integrated BLUMOTION slows the final closing movement and can be deactivated on an individual hinge when less damping is required.

Tool-free cup fixing, accurately drilled door

INSERTA locks the 35 mm hinge cup into a correctly prepared door without conventional cup screws. It still requires a 35 mm cup bore and two 8 mm fixing holes on 45 mm centres. Once installed, the hinge arm clips onto a separately purchased Blum CLIP mounting plate, allowing the door to be removed without releasing the cup. This is one hinge, not a hinge-and-plate set.

Plan door thickness, the desired gaps, cup drilling distance and plate position before drilling. The existing installation guidance specifies placing the mounting plate farther inside the cabinet by the door thickness plus 1.5 mm for an inset application; check the actual cabinet and trial-fit first. Choose the cup-fixing method

For an inset BLUMOTION hinge with conventional screw fixing, see the 71B3750 screw-on hinge. The 71B3780 knock-in hinge uses pre-mounted dowels and controlled insertion equipment instead of INSERTA. The 71T3790 inset INSERTA hinge is sprung but lacks integrated BLUMOTION. Check drilling and plate compatibility for each method.
