The Blum 71B3550 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge is a premium concealed cabinet hinge for standard overlay doors. Its straight hinge arm, versatile 110° opening angle and integrated soft-close mechanism make it suitable for kitchens, bedrooms, media furniture and fitted cabinetry.

The Onyx Black finish provides a coordinated appearance with dark cabinet interiors, black mounting plates and contemporary furniture designs. It is an attractive alternative to conventional nickel-plated hinges, particularly where the hardware remains visible when the cabinet door is open.

This version uses a conventional screw-on hinge cup. It is particularly useful for replacement work, bespoke furniture and workshop installation where a secure mechanical screw fixing is preferred.

Integrated BLUMOTION soft closing

BLUMOTION is built directly into the hinge cup and slows the cabinet door during the final stage of closing. This produces smooth, quiet and controlled movement without requiring a separate soft-close adapter.

The damping function can be deactivated on individual hinges. This is useful where a small or lightweight door requires less closing resistance.

Screw-on cup installation

The hinge requires a 35mm cup drilling approximately 13mm deep. Two screw-fixing positions are arranged on 45mm centres, with the fixing-hole line offset 9.5mm from the centre of the cup drilling.

Unlike INSERTA and knock-in hinges, this screw-on version does not require two 8mm dowel holes. Select suitable fixing screws for the material and thickness of the cabinet door.

Mounting plate required

HIO71B3550 is supplied as one hinge. A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate must be ordered separately. The required mounting-plate height depends on the cabinet construction, drilling distance and desired door overlay.
