Blum CLIP top BLUMOTION 110° Overlay INSERTA Hinge – Onyx Black

The Blum 71B3590 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge is a premium concealed cabinet hinge combining integrated soft close, rapid INSERTA installation and a distinctive Onyx Black finish. Its straight hinge arm is designed for overlay cabinet-door applications, while the 110° opening angle suits a wide range of kitchen, bedroom and fitted-furniture installations.

BLUMOTION is integrated directly into the hinge, providing a smooth, controlled closing action without needing a separate soft-close adapter. The damping function can be deactivated on individual hinges when less closing resistance is required for smaller or lighter doors.

The INSERTA hinge cup locks into the prepared door without fixing screws. Once the 35mm cup hole and two 8mm fixing holes have been accurately drilled, the built-in INSERTA lever secures the hinge cup and its expanding dowels in position. This provides fast, consistent installation and allows the hinge to be removed without damaging the door.

INSERTA installation

Prepare one 35mm hinge-cup hole to a depth of 13mm, together with two 8mm fixing holes positioned on 45mm centres. The fixing holes are offset 9.5mm from the centreline of the cup drilling.

Place the INSERTA hinge cup into the prepared drilling and operate the built-in locking lever. This expands the integrated fixing dowels and secures the hinge without separate screws or insertion machinery.

The hinge then clips onto a compatible Blum mounting plate using the tool-free CLIP connection. Side, depth and height adjustments can be completed after the door has been fitted.

Please note: a compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate is required and must be ordered separately. The correct plate height depends on the cabinet construction, drilling distance and required door overlay.

Compatible Onyx Black mounting plates

A 0mm plate is commonly used for standard overlay applications, but the required plate height should always be checked against the door overlay and cabinet design.

Compatible opening-angle stop

Where the cabinet door must be prevented from opening fully, use the Blum 70T3553 opening-angle stop. This reduces the hinge opening angle from 110° to approximately 86°, helping prevent the door or handle from contacting an adjacent wall, cabinet or appliance.
