Blum CLIP top BLUMOTION 110° Overlay Knock-In Hinge

The Blum 71B3580 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge combines integrated soft closing with a production-friendly knock-in cup fixing. Designed for standard overlay cabinet doors, this all-metal concealed hinge provides a 110° opening angle and controlled, quiet closing without requiring a separate soft-close adapter.

The steel hinge cup is secured into a correctly prepared 35mm cup drilling using two knock-in dowels. This fixing method is particularly suited to kitchen, bedroom and furniture manufacturing where hinges are installed using suitable insertion machinery or a hinge insertion ram.

Once fitted to a compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate, the cabinet door can be attached and removed without tools. Three-dimensional adjustment allows accurate door alignment after installation.

Integrated BLUMOTION soft closing

BLUMOTION is built directly into the hinge and provides smooth, controlled closing even when the cabinet door is closed with force. No separate soft-close adapter is required.

The BLUMOTION mechanism can be deactivated on an individual hinge. This is useful where a small or lightweight door requires less damping.

Knock-in cup installation

The 71B3580 requires a 35mm hinge-cup drilling and two 8mm fixing holes positioned on 45mm centres. The steel dowels are pressed into the prepared holes to secure the hinge cup to the door.

Important: the knock-in boss is normally installed using suitable hinge-insertion equipment or a press-in ram. It is different from Blum INSERTA, which uses a locking flap for tool-free cup installation.

Mounting plate required

This product is supplied as one hinge. A compatible Blum CLIP cabinet-side mounting plate is required and must be ordered separately.

A commonly used option is the Blum HI173710 0mm cruciform cam mounting plate. Choose the mounting-plate height and fixing method required for your cabinet construction and desired door overlay.
