PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The 726 mm ExiSound Concealex A8100 Superior is a recessed automatic drop seal for a suitable door bottom. It combines a satin anodised aluminium casing with a self-levelling, sound-insulating TPE seal. Measure the door and check the complete assembly’s requirements before selecting the nominal length.

Measure, route and fit

The A8100 Superior fitting instructions specify a 14 mm wide × 35 mm deep slot in the door bottom, with separate preparation for the endplates. Follow the fitting instructions for plunger position. For this 726 mm length, the manufacturer brochure permits trimming by up to 150 mm from the end opposite the plunger. Measure the door width and follow the full fitting instructions, including the endplate allowance, before cutting or routing.

Performance evidence

The manufacturer’s A8100 Superior range brochure reports fire testing for 30 and 60 minutes to BS EN 1634-1:2014 and acoustic testing up to 44 dB to BS EN ISO 10140-2:2010. CERTIFIRE CF5785 covers smoke-sealing use within its specified door-assembly and installation conditions.
